Abstract

Playing, especially dramatic and animated playing is one of the most important factors affecting child’s development in social and psychological aspects. Although playing is important in the cognitive, moral, social, and psychological development of the child, its considered an effective method for relieving psychological stress and to explore the child’s creativity. The study sample consisted of (2100) Palestinian male and female children, distributed in (72) schools and kindergartens in (32) city, town, and camp in Palestine. This study aimed to: 1. Investigate the effect of Al-Aqsa Intefada on the kinds of games played by Palestinian children between the (4-8) years old. 2. Investigate the effect of playing (dramatic, and animated) in relieving the psychological stress of the Palestinian children. 3. Explain teacher’s role in developing children playing activity. The results showed that Al-Aqsa Intefada affected the king of dramatic and animated games played by Palestinian children. Therefor many games have been developed (4) for girls, (6) for boys, and (3) accompanied by girls and boys. The study concluded the importance of playing in relieving psychological stress among Palestinian children, and highlighted the importance of conducting other researchers in this field.
