The Matter of Alkohl in Alkafiya-‎‏ ‏By: Mohammad Bin ‎Ibrahim Al- Niksari ‎

Abstract

This research presents a letter in grammatical heritage for a Roman language and origin scientist, Mohammad Bin Ibrahim Al-Niksari. He talks about what is called the matter of Alkohl in Arabic grammar, and it concerns with the cause of nominative comparative for apparent nouns as their saying "I've never seen a man better in his eyes Alkohl than in Zaid's eye". The origin in comparative was not in nominative case. When it was nominated, issue needed reasoning. In this matter, Al-Niksari handled Ibn Al-Hajib's text which concerns with the matter of Alkohl form his book Alkafiya. He explained all what concerns this text, and he commented on several sides belong to this matter. Then, he handled the function of comparative and its likeness to the verb, the cause of its function, and its conditions. After that, he handled the relationship between preferential and its counterpart and he explained the poetic evidence in Ibn Al-Hajib's text.
